"Those who love peace must learn to organize as effectively as those who love war."
- Martin Luther King Jr.

He used this idea to highlight that peace and justice do not happen by themselves - they require strategic, collective action with the same discipline and coordination seen in efforts that perpetuate violence or oppression.
Uniting all those who want what is best for South Africa. Peacemakers that rise up nationwide, taking hands to restore the hope we all share. Through building bridges, not walls, we let South Africa reach its full potential. We should flourish in all our beautiful diversity. Together, let's overcome evil with good! Let's bring South Africa to the turning point.
Blessed are the Peacemakers is about becoming intentional, as South Africans, about healing our nation and for once and for all moving forward together. It broadens the reconciliation by eventually involving - hopefully - the whole nation in bridge-building. Together, we choose to step into a new future of prosperity and leave the past behind us.
Note that this is not an initiative by a specific organisation or group.
It is initiated BY South Africans FOR South Africans of all walks of life.
It has NO political agenda and all are welcome to support it, even political parties.
We invite everyone and any organisation/group that support this initiative and share its values to join hands with us by signing up.
Welcome to the home of all the Peacemakers.
All peacemeakers are accountable to these values.
We uphold them together for South Africa to prosper and flourish.

Living in harmony with everyone and conflict being absent in society.

Choosing to love everyone with affection, connection, and selflessness.

Committed to moral principles in the face of moral decay, showing moral courage.

Truly valuing other human beings and guarding our peaceful coexistence.

Kindness and care for others.

Fairness, equality before the law, and protection of rights.

Protecting freedom of speech, choice, and belief.

Valuing the truth to build trust, integrity, and credibility in relationships and society.

Being accountable, reliable, and taking ownership of one's actions.

Living in harmony with everyone and nurturing connections with others.
Enough is enough, we will no longer be divided.

The Springboks is a prime example of the power of unity - when diversity is turned from weakness to strength. Before they could build a team that can win successive World Cups, they first had to lay the right foundation.
It started with Rassie and Siya. Their unity brought the team together, which laid the right foundation for the success to come.
The same with the whole of South Africa. Before we can rebuild the nation, we must lay the right foundation of unity. When we are united, nothing is impossible.
Let's start by actively building bridges, not walls. Solidify the foundation through unity.
Just start, like Siya and Rassie.
#StrongerTogether

Very simple. Start by having a Unity Braai or Unity Meal. Invite some of your friends from different racial/cultural backgrounds and, as you sit down to eat as a group, let each one answer these 3 questions:
Try and keep it between 5 and 10 minutes per person. An ideal group is 6 or 7 people, but it can be a bit more or less.
Then, at the end of your Unity Braai/Meal, ask everyone to please sign up on the Peacemaker website. Also ask them to repeat the same Braai or Meal with their other friends to keep the unity-chain going.
